Some messages sound weirdly formal when you type them. A quick voice note can feel much more natural. TalkToHumans brings LinkedIn voice notes to your desktop, so you do not have to find your phone halfway through the conversation.

Record an audio message

Open the conversation

Choose the person you want to message and make sure Chrome has microphone permission for TalkToHumans.

Start recording

Click the microphone control in the composer or press V.

Stop and attach

Press Esc to stop recording. Listen to the result, then press Enter to attach it to the message.

Send

Confirm the right audio is attached, then send it through the normal composer flow.

If recording does not work

→ Check microphone permission in Chrome.
→ Confirm the TalkToHumans extension is enabled and current.
→ Reload the conversation after changing permissions.
→ Record a short test before a long message. Audio messages are currently a desktop feature. See troubleshooting if audio or other message formats fail repeatedly.
Voice notes work best when they carry context or warmth that text would flatten. Keep the next step clear.
